Lee Johnson
has played guitar for over 25 years. He studied formally at CU Boulder
1987-1991, and UCD Denver 1992-1994.He has gained experience playing
locally and touring nationally. He has had the good fortune of opening
up for and sharing stages with larger name acts such as “John
Cowan” of New Grass Revival, “Leftover Salmon” , “String
Cheese Incident”, “Hot Rize”, “Yonder Mountain

Lee Johnson has a vast repertoire that includes Rock, Blues, Folk,
Bluegrass, Western Swing, Alt. Country, Americana, Zydeco, Reggae, as
well as Classical, Jazz, Brazillian, and Big Band Swing. Lee approaches
his shows as a Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist, showcasing his original music
which incorporates a unique fusion of his musical influences. Lee is
an entertainer at heart and he also enjoys playing a wide variety of
cover material. When Lee gets the crowd interacting at one of his shows
the fun really begins!

Lee plays a variety of instruments and is available for session work

Lee Johnson is a well versed, well rounded musician and is available
to play on your next CD project. He has logged many hours of studio time
on his instruments and will help make your project sound great.
Lee plays acoustic and electric guitar, bass guitar, dobro, lap steel
guitar, double neck straight steel guitar, and harmonica. Lee studied
Music and Music Technology at UCD Denver from 1993-1995. His knowledge
of studio techniques helps him achieve a high level of musicianship.
Lee has
recorded several CDs of his own projects including 2 full length Runaway
Truck Ramp CDs, produced by James Tuttle, and a 4 song demo CD for
Rubber Spark. Lee is currently working on his debut solo CD in his
protools based home recording studio. Also in progress is a new full
length CD from Lee’s current band “The Rhythm Method”.
Lee has been a musician for hire on several CD projects including 3
tracks on a CD by Benny Galloway, produced by Greg Schochet, 2 tracks
on a CD by John McKay, and 3 tracks on a new release by Buckskin Stallion,
also produced by Greg Schochet and mixed by James Tuttle.
